Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: AIN’TNODEELDUN (Race 7)

BEST EACH-WAY: STRUCK BY (Race 4)

VALUE: SALOME (Race 8)

RACE 1 - 12:33PM Romeo's Locali Handicap (1100 METRES)

Tricky little race to start the day. ALSVIOR is really starting to put things together, winning four of his past five, and was too good for The Difference last time. He’s back from 1300m to 1100m and drawn out, so will settle in the second half of the field, but it’s hard to fault him. KAYSERI has a good record here and is sure to run a cheeky race down in the weights from a good gate. He was well backed to beat ALSVIOR on the Parks track two starts back. BRIMARVI VEHERO maps to get a nice run from barrier three and gets some weight relief with Sophie Logan’s 3kg claim. JACOBITE PRINCE has never missed a place on the outer track and has been kept fresh for this since he defeated Kingson here over 1200m six weeks ago. Watch KAYSERI's latest win here.

SELECTIONS: KAYSERI, Brimarvi Vehero, Alsvior

RACE 2 - 1:08 PM Farmer's Union Handicap (1200 METRES)

Open race now with LAKHANI ROSE coming out. TEQUILA TIME has a win and three placings from six starts this track and trip, and trialled well for his return behind Xilong at Gawler recently. He’s perfectly drawn, flies fresh and is weighted to be right in the finish. EF TROOP had some good specking first-up but was disappointing when fading late behind Snitzkraft in the Wylie. This is a drop in class and he gets some weight relief with Jess Eaton’s claim. ARKHAM KNIGHT would be right in this if the track stayed in the soft range. His form has been very solid. DEXELATION was huge at Moonee Valley three back and ran a game race in the Leon Macdonald Stakes, before again running solidly behind Alsvior last time. MAGNA BELLA was making good ground and only 2.2 lengths behind Thompson’s Reward last time. She has the blinkers off. Watch TEQUILA TIME's latest trial here.

SELECTIONS: TEQUILA TIME, Ef Troop, Magna Bella

RACE 3 - 1:43 PM Enzo's at Home Handicap (1800 METRES)

MASTER CHUM was very good at his first two runs back from a break and was well found by punters before he had issues in the Balaklava Cup. Getting out to 1800m is a huge plus for him. He’ll get back but the small field should help him. I’d prefer to have something on him at the $5.50 with tab.com.au than take $1.80 about SOMERSET MAUGHAM, who made it two wins on the bounce when he held off Aray Of Sunshine (who probably should have beaten him). He draws a nice gate and is sure to be right in the mix again, but just looks slightly under the odds. KORODON has two wins from three starts this track and trip, is nicely drawn and gets blinkers for the first time. CLASSY JOE is flying and made it three wins from his past five. He’s back in trip but another horse who is impossible to overlook. Stablemates DR DEPENDABLE and GALAHAD GURU both have claims on their best form. The former will be on speed making his own luck.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CHUM, Somerset Maugham, Korodon

RACE 4 - 2:18 PM TAB Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

DEEP SPEED is a $220,000 son of Deep Field from Fast ‘N’ Witty, an unraced half-sister to Crystal Dreamer from the McEvoy stable. He wasn’t knocked around when finishing fourth in a recent Gawler trial but faces a task from barrier 16. STRUCK BY was looked after when running third in a Morphettville trial back in August and went to the line alongside Bottom Line, who has won since and ran well here in town. Like DEEP SPEED, he has a slightly awkward draw. TRADEWIND was let roll when winning a recent Morphettville jump-out. VANCOUVER VELVET caught the eye making good ground behind the smart Quietly Discreet first-up from a break and looks a genuine improver – plus has a good gate and the benefit of race experience. SELLIX ran well behind Sitting Bull at Murray Bridge last time, but also draws wide. MORTY is a Shayne Cahill-trained debutant who was ridden out when running second in a recent Strathalbyn jump-out. Watch STRUCK BY's latest trial here.

SELECTIONS: STRUCK BY, Deep Speed, Vancouver Velvet

RACE 5 - 2:53 PM Antonio and Elisabeth Handicap (Heat 9 Rebel Raider Series) (1100 METRES)

EXTRA TIME was huge in the G3 McNeil Stakes three starts back and his past couple in Melbourne have been solid. This is a drop back in class and distance, and he has the inside gate with a big weight. MILEVA was good when beating subsequent winners Alleboom and Quietly Discreet here two starts back, before she was tested in the Group 3 Champagne at Moonee Valley over 1200m and only battled. She’s back to 1100m here, the blinkers come off and she’s sure to give this a shake from the good draw. DANIYAH defeated FEARLESS VISION at Murray Bridge on debut back in April and has the benefit of a recent Gawler trial where she wasn’t knocked around and was going to finish right with the winner before shying at a whip from a rival and racing greenly. She looks well over the odds. KIRINIA was runner-up behind boom filly Instant Celebrity here three starts back and won well at Balaklava when an odds-on favourite before heading to the paddock. She’s jumped out well for her return and her two fresh runs have been arguably her best. TWIST OF FURY came here and was backed at a price behind Forever Free in the Queen Adelaide back in May. She led throughout to score by 1.5 lengths first-up from a spell at Moe and should run well. FEARLESS VISION was very good when sitting on speed and winning by 2.1 lengths first-up from a spell and must be respected. Watch DANIYAH break its maiden status here.

SELECTIONS: DANIYAH, Kirinia, Extra Time

RACE 6 - 3:33 PM Crawford Legal Handicap (1600 METRES)

The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained ZENDE has good form on rain-affected tracks and draws a lovely gate here. He wasn’t beaten far at Ballarat last time out and gets into this very well at the weights. RITRATTO dominated up on speed last time on the Parks track, and although this is harder from a sticky gate, he’ll be strong at the end of the mile. ARAY OF SUNSHINE stays at the mile and probably should have won last time out. SOWPODS got a long way back and ran through the line well behind Made In Milan last time. He jumps straight to the mile and looks worth a ticket at $17 in early markets. STAR STATUS is back in trip on his latest effort, when second behind Andrea Mantegna, and has been placed twice this track and trip.

SELECTIONS: ZENDE, Aray Of Sunshine, Sowpods

RACE 7 - 4:13 PM Hill Smith Stakes (1800 METRES)

AIN’TNODEELDUN comes to Adelaide with a boom and followed four good efforts in handy form races by winning his Sale maiden in style by five lengths last time. This is obviously a step up in grade on his latest effort, but the stable has a big opinion of him, which is reflected in the market. THE BRUMBY was very good first-up from a spell at Sandown when beaten by Caulfield Guineas hope Aysar, before he was only 1.55 lengths behind Poland at Flemington last start. He looks a progressive horse who will thrive getting out to 1800m and is solid each-way value. McEvoy stable rider Barend Vorster opting to stick with promising filly VICTORIA QUAY is a good guide to her upside. She was luckless on debut before getting the job done well at Balaklava and looks a filly who will appreciate 1800m. CROWN MINT is back from Melbourne, where he was run off his feet behind Glenfiddich in the Stutt Stakes. He’ll appreciate the jump to 1800m. SO YOU CAN – from the Macdonald-Gluyas yard – is a nice horse and drawn to be thereabouts. The Price/Kent Jr stable won this race last year and bring two maidens, DEEPSTRIKE and DALGARNO, who are both staying types sure to run well. TALAMO could be an improver. The former Kiwi was impressive first-up before having very good support last time when not much went right. Watch AIN'TNODEELDUN's last start win here.

SELECTIONS: AIN’TNODEELDUN, The Brumby, Victoria Quay

Race 8 - 4:53 PM 36° South Beef Handicap (Heat 1 Riziz Sprint Series) (1050 METRES)

HANKSTAR has a good record and raced well through the carnival. His runs behind Garner in the Redelva and Xilong in the Euclase were very good at big odds and his fresh record is very good. He jumped out well in readiness for his return and Jason Holder takes the ride from an inside gate. I liked the jump out of SALOME, who was placed here back in February when in the care of Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace. First-up here for Will Clarken, she looks very good value each-way. EXTRA MILE is improving every time he goes out and has won his past couple back in class. He draws a nice gate but has drifted back in his races. GROOT had good specking and ran well at his first start back here in SA. He maps well from barrier seven. TULLY’S GOLD has a good record and resumes on the back of a jump out where he wasn’t asked to do a lot. LUCKY DOG was backed for plenty and won well on debut at Oakbank before again being well tried when he beat all but Sunmate at Strathalbyn.

SELECTIONS: SALOME, Hankstar, Lucky Dog

RACE 9 - 5:31PM Emperor Sushi Handicap (1200 METRES)

Not a race I’m overly keen on, but if DEEP FORCE is right, he probably wins. He had big wraps early and won like a good horse on debut here in July last year. He ran a $1.40 favourite at his next run and was beaten by handy stablemate Silent Sovereign, before being tested in last year’s McKenzie Stakes at the Valley. He jumped favourite in both runs earlier in the year. They were both average and has had a recent trial at Gawler (where he wasn’t asked to do a lot). BEEOKAY doesn’t run many bad races, and although he also doesn’t win out of turn, he could be the one finishing off hard, wide out, late in the day. SKILLED BUNCH has won two of her past four and was too smart for Annika two runs back which is handy form for a race like this. DEEP FORCE’S stablemate YOU HADME AT HELLO has a handy record and must be respected down in the weights with the claim for Jess Eaton, while ROHLON DRUNK is racing well. HAPPY LAD wasn’t far away after some specking at a price last time out and maps well here, while EXALTED QUEEN could run another cheeky race at a price.

SELECTIONS: DEEP FORCE, Beeokay, Skilled Bunch
