RACE 1 - 12:30PM Celebrate Mother’s Day With Us @ Bridges Event Centre Steeplechase (3360 METRES)
Local MR COYNE had been racing well on the flat and toyed with rivals at Oakbank in a maiden hurdle before a brave run in the Harry D Young behind Britannicus. PENTELLIGENTSIA was huge when running third in the Great Eastern Steeple before he was well beaten on the flat. MACKLEMORE was backed into favourite behind Pentelligentsia and has trialled well since joining Patrick Payne. SEARAVEN has a good record but was average at Oakbank and then again on the flat at Naracoorte.

RACE 2 - 1:10PM Carlton Draught Hurdle (3360 METRES)
BUCKEYE NATION should have beaten Looking Around at Oakbank two runs back when he jumped the last awkwardly and lost momentum. He looks right in this if he does things right. SWEET LULLABY was OK at her first jumps run at Hamilton. CASTANEA was placed behind Looking Around at Oakbank before failing to finish at Hamilton last time. And ARISTOCAT has trialled well and his latest effort on the flat had some merit.

RACE 3 - 1:50PM Riverscape Food and Wine Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
A race with a few chances and should prove a handy form race going forward. Thought VALUABLE WITNESS had jumped out smartly at Strathalbyn recently, beating Lockdown Sally. He’s on debut for David Jolly and must be kept very safe. SHORT STORIES won two trials last year and was OK in a recent trial, running third behind She’s Stylish at Morphettville. He has had another jump-out, the blinkers are on for his debut and he maps well from barrier four. RIALTOR had jumped out impressively prior to his debut when he showed speed and weakened back in January. SELLIX loves running well but not winning, and is back in class on last time when well beaten in town. NORDIC LASS was very good behind Miss Muccini here two runs back and then led behind A Bit Racey last time. WILD TYCOON has had three trials and was good behind Free Of Sin.

RACE 4 - 2:30PM Rosetta Happy Hour Maiden Plate (1600 METRES)
SAMURAI MOON was placed twice in Victoria before coming to SA and was placed behind Meadows Young Buck here before a spell. He’s trialled OK and draws well with Todd Pannell riding. He’d probably be looking for further but has claims. CHARGING FIRE was well backed in the race won by Grafton Avenue and was placed at three of six previously, including a good effort at Cranbourne four starts back. HUMPBACK is on debut for David Jolly and has jumped out OK. PENONG has been placed at two of five. YE HELLA chased home Reynolds at Oakbank last time and that form has held up in better races. MUG’S GAME is another who can run well in this class of race.

RACE 5 - 3:05PM Clarrie and Bill Watts Memorial Benchmark 64 Handicap (2500 METRES)
Throw at the stumps here with LOVE IN THE CITY, who was placed at three Victorian runs in February/March and had market support at Clare two runs back. She was again specked at a price at Mildura behind Liam’s The Boss land gets in on the minimum. ANTIPAS was runner-up in the race won by Liam’s The Boss at Mildura and is a winner here. He’s not going to find too many more winnable races. ROUGH BEAUTY was a Gawler winner over 2121m four runs back and chased home Spying On You over 2900m at Oakbank. WITCHACHAR STAR is racing well in similar races, defeated Tuff Cat at Strathalbyn and ran well behind Exalted Fire last time at Gawler. The John Hickmott-trained TURF MAN could be a big improver getting out in distance and his form at the back end of last campaign was good for a race like this. SPYING ON YOU comes off a big win in the Great Eastern and was good winning on the flat previously. Stablemate SOSTENIDO ran third in that flat race Oakbank and could improve here.

RACE 6 - 3:40PM Ken and Fay Kempe Memorial Benchmark 54 Handicap (Heat 11 SA Sprint Series) (1000 METRES)
GAZE GRISE was impressive leading throughout to win first-up from a spell at Balaklava in what looked a handy maiden before knocking up behind River Twain in what should be a strong form race at Morphettville last time. She’s back with David Jolly and is the one they have to beat. ALL IN WAR is the danger. She was good behind Hypersonic last start and has been knocking on the door to win a race in SA. They should fight out the finish. AVID GENERAL was a good Edenhope winner two runs back. SEVEN LETTERS was a winner here last year and has trialled well for his return. EQUICHUNK could be an improver along with EIGHTBALSIDEPOCKET.

RACE 7 - 4:15PM Minge Funerals Fillies & Mares Class Two Handicap (1200 METRES)
Looks a nice for CHILL WITH TEEJAY to bounce back after she was ridden up on speed before tiring behind River Twain at Morphettville. She was a good city winner three starts back and gets in well with the claim. A BIT RACEY won her maiden at Strathalbyn before a handy effort behind Annika. She has each-way appeal. OUR SOUSTAR can improve here from a handy gate, while AFTER YOU was a Gawler winner last campaign, draws perfectly in barrier two and has the benefit of a recent Morphettville trial.

RACE 8 - 4:50PM Graetz / Jim Johnson Memorial Benchmark 68 Handicap (Heat 10 Provincial Super Series) (1600 METRES)
REYNOLDS won well first-up in Australia at Oakbank but was super impressive winning at Morphettville and beating Echo Boomer who franked that form to win on Saturday. This is a similar class of race but he does look a horse who can keep winning. GOOD GIRL BELLA is a danger if she has a change of luck. Her form early this campaign was very good and she had nothing go right here two starts back and wasn’t beaten far behind Oh Mo in a handy race last time. SADENTE is a handy mare who was a winner here three starts back and made good ground last time behind Frankel Star. CROWN HARMONIUM has been placed at four of her past five and was good behind Reynolds last start. GRINZINGER STAR hasn’t really fired here in SA but his best form would have him in the finish here. MANZALA is first-up and short of his ideal distance. CHARLTON was a good winner at Oakbank along with APOLLO JET, while FRANKEL STAR defeated the in-form Neodium last time at Gawler.
