Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST: STEINEM (Race 7)

EACH-WAY: MISS FIVE HUNDRED (Race 2)

VALUE: BRIMARVI VEHERO (Race 3)

RACE 1 - 12:01PM Adelaide Galvanising Handicap (1050 METRES)

The Maher/Eustace GENERATION has firmed in the market after scratchings and was marked a $15 at Cranbourne on Friday night before being scratched. Has jumped out OK at Caulfield. The Lindsay Park-trained CARMEN LUCIA jumped out pretty well at Flemington and looks to be ready for her debut. ARRAN BAY looked good winning a recent Morphettville trial and has claims. He beat DESIRED who was a Murray Bridge winner on debut. Arran Bay’s stablemate, BELLYNORA, defeated Witness Greatness in a Morphettville trial but does draw a sticky gate. FLYING BARTY has been OK in her trial and recent jump-out.

SELECTIONS: GENERATION, Carmen Lucia, Arran Bay

RACE 2 - 12:36PM Adelaide Racing Carnival - May 1st -15th Handicap (2500 METRES)

Keen to back MISS FIVE HUNDRED each-way here. She ran through the good fillies’ races here back in 2019 and finished fourth in the SA Fillies classic over this trip behind Moor Gait. Her recent form has been solid with a win and two placings over 3000m and she gets her chance to regain winning form. ANALYTICA was impressive at Oakbank when he was down in the weights. He’s sure to be thereabouts, but does give rivals some weight here. SANDBANKS made good ground first-up in SA for Michael Hickmott and should appreciated the rise in distance from 1900m to 2500m. Stablemate LIAM’S THE BOSS was sound at his local debut at Oakbank before winning at Mildura on Monday and should be right in the mix. EXALTED FIRE is up in class but the 2500m should appeal after his win at Gawler last time over 2100m, and he has form around the likes of Struck By and Royal Mile. CANFORD stormed home behind Dreamed here last week and the extra trip should be ideal.

SELECTIONS MISS FIVE HUNDRED, Analytica, Sandbanks

RACE 3 - 1:11PM Furphy Handicap (1050 METRES)

Open race with a host of winning chances. LUNAR HERO was impressive last week leading and running rivals ragged. He draws perfectly in gate three and they have dodged some big guns in the Redelva and staying at the 1050m. He’ll be in this for a long way but the track was conducive to on-pace horses last week. DEBT COLLECTOR has a good first-up record and his overall record is strong. BRIMARVI VEHERO was huge making good ground late to finish third in the Manihi. He’ll get a nice run here and looks into this up to his ears and a big price in early markets. BE MY STAR goes well fresh has the benefit of a trial and handy jump-out for her return. Stablemate ANITRA is first up for the Clarken team but has jumped-out well for her first-up mission. HYPERSONIC was a good winner back in class and must be respected despite a sticky gate. TOFF LOVE was dominant back in class last time and SIZZLEFLY would be right up to these on her best.

SELECTIONS: LUNAR HERO, Debt Collector, Brimarvi Vehero

RACE 4 - 1:46PM Quayclean Handicap (1600 METRES)

BIARCHI is the interesting runner. She’s unlucky not to be running in the G3 fillies race where she would acquit herself well. Sticking at the mile is the only question mark as she has upside and will be right in this. ECHO BOOMER was game running second behind an impressive Reynolds here last week. His form in SA has been very good if he can overcome a tricky wide gate. GRAFTON AVENUE is a nice type who had no luck on debut before a soft win at Oakbank. He’s up in class but has upside and looks a good price. AFRICAN AWESOME is another who is showing promise and was good behind Mavette last time. He should figure in a race like this. MAVETTE is going well and must be given some thought from a good gate.

SELECTIONS: ECHO BOOMER, Grafton Avenue, African Awesome

RACE 5 - 2:26PM Happy 90th Birthday Marj Kettapellar Handicap (1600 METRES)

DON’TDREAMIT’SOVER has won three of six in Australia and was back to his best when winning on the Parks track last time. He draws a nice gate and is sure to fight out the finish. SHOP TIL I DROP is a handy mare first-up and has two nice trials under her belt. She won four straight before running fourth in the 2019 Murray Bridge Cup and should run a big race first-up. CASSIUS is a three-time winner at the mile and was favourite at Moonee Valley two starts back. SURREAL IMAGE could be an improver here and MUSHAIREB debuts for Michael Hickmott.

SELECTIONS: DON’TDREAMIT’SOVER, Shop Til I Drop, Cassius

RACE 6 - 3:06PM Redelva Stakes (1100 METRES)

INSTANT CELEBRITY picks herself. She was impressive in the spring and has been set for the Sangster Stakes here in a fortnight. She looked good and should have taken benefit from her trial win over Kemalpasa and draws perfectly in barrier two. MUNTASEERA could be the danger with race fitness on her side. She finished fifth in the Coolmore back in the spring and was running on strongly behind War Correspondent at Moonee Valley last time. MINHAAJ won well first-up at Caulfield and has a good record for a race like this. OUTLAWS REVENGE could be an improver drawn wide and getting back to the bigger track. MILEVA was game winning the Manihi last time and should get a nice run. SPANISH HEIRLOOM hasn’t done anything wrong but this is a massive rise in class. She’ll be on speed from a good gate. LITCHFIELD COUNTY maps to get a nice run right behind the speed, while ECHOES IN ETERNITY is another who hasn’t done much wrong.

SELECTIONS: INSTANT CELEBRITY, Muntaseera, Minhaaj

RACE 7 - 3:46PM Auraria Stakes (1800 METRES)

She’s short but it appears only traffic can stop STEINEM maintaining her unbeaten record here. She was very impressive at Sandown last time, winning by 3.5 lengths, and ticks a lot of boxes for a race like this. She can stay out of trouble from the outside gate and should be too good. Outside the favourite there are plenty of horses capable of running into the multiples. SIRILEO MISS was a good Sandown winner two starts back before being narrowly beaten there last time. PARURE won the G2 Autumn Classic over the 1800m at Caulfield. She’s drawn wide so may end up back with the favourite. STAR OF EDEN was a $1.26 favourite first-up in maiden grade and she gets blinkers for the first time. Her spring form was OK. PITCHANUN has upside, while SPECTACLE made good ground last time along with BIARCHI. ECUMENICAL was impressive two starts back before her last-start failure in the Port Guineas against the boys.

SELECTIONS: STEINEM, Sirileo Miss, Parure

RACE 8 - 4:21PM R N Irwin Stakes (1100 METRES)

Another super edition of the race and should paint a clear picture of who is a genuine Goodwood chance. EXHILARATES has been a good horse throughout her career. She flashed home in the Magic Millions Sprint in Queensland in January and her fresh record is sound. She maps to be right in the finish. KEMALPASA is a very good horse. He chased home Behemoth first-up in the Durbridge before a game run when third in the Oakleigh Plate last time. He draws the perfect barrier and is sure to be in the finish. His best runs have usually been second-up. OCTANE has a great record here but was inconclusive first-up at Caulfield. HEY DOC is a multiple Group 1 winner who could be the big improver here third-up. HUMMA HUMMA was OK in the Manihi. She draws out and could be the one finishing over the top of rivals out wide.

SELECTIONS: EXHILARATES, Kemalpasa, Octane

RACE 9 - 5:00PM TAB Handicap (1200 METRES)

Open race to end the day. DEEP DIVE was back to winning form last time and maps well from barrier four. He was an easy 3.8-length winner at his only trip to Adelaide. WINGS OF PASTRAMI is a handy type with a good fresh record and has the benefit of a trial under her belt. She was getting out over further last campaign but does sprint well fresh. HEARTY LASS was a Caulfield winner two runs back over 1440m but is more than capable of sprinting well fresh. TRADEWIND has plenty of talent, should get a good run here and looks over the odds. Will Clarken saddles up three runners who are all resuming. I REMEMBER YOU is well travelled and jumped out OK, plus his fresh record is solid. SECRET VEGA is on debut for his new stable and has had a few jump-outs but is winless from five first-up runs. DAZZLING DAMSEL has won two of three fresh, was a good winner over a mile and her form last prep was solid.

SELECTIONS: DEEP DIVE, Wings Of Pastrami, Hearty Lass
