Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: VIRTUE (Race 2)

EACH-WAY: ECHO BOOMER (Race 9)

VALUE: CONCRETE (Race 7)

RACE 1 - 12:36PM Racing Rewards Plus SA Handicap (1100 METRES)

A lot to like about ECHOES IN ETERNITY, who was brave first-up from a break fighting off Spinola Bay at Murray Bridge. She draws the inside and should get a nice run. She’s a filly going places. PIMM’S PARTY showed plenty in her first campaign beating Scarlett River here over 1200m before running fifth behind Mileva. She draws out but will roll forward and must be respected here with a recent Morphettville jump-out under her belt. MRS MOURINHO is going super but looking for ground. She’s back in trip here but there was a lot to like about her run last week behind Another Award at Gawler. THE GRADUATE was impressive at nice odds on debut at Warrnambool. He draws a good gate and has the in-form Sophie Logan claiming 2kg. SWING WITH JUNIOR will make the speed from barrier three and led last time when beaten by Toorak Warrior at Kilmore. The stable have a good record when it comes to Adelaide.

SELECTIONS: ECHOES IN ETERNITY, Pimm’s Party, Mrs Mourinho

RACE 2 - 1:11PM TAB Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

VIRTUE was well in the market on debut when beaten 7.5 lengths behind All Banter here back in June. That looks a good form line for a race like this and she jumped out well at Strathalbyn recently. SELF SUFFICIENT ran super on debut when he was caught deep and rattled home late behind Galaxy Keeper here. He went to the paddock after chasing home Quietly Discreet but has jumped out well for his return and draws nicely in barrier four. CHILL WITH TEEJAY trialled nicely behind Three Tears and Atomic Texie. That looks a good trial for this and she must be respected despite a sticky gate. I FEEL FINE ran a good race at Moonee Valley last time. EFFORTKAT is on the quick back-up from Murray Bridge on Tuesday and should win a maiden shortly.

SELECTIONS: VIRTUE, Self Sufficient, Chill With Teejay

RACE 3 - 1:46PM Apprentice Academy SA Handicap (1800 METRES)

MEDIEVAL MISS hit the line strongly in the race won by Hard ‘N’ Tough at Sandown last time over 2100m. She’s back in trip but nicely drawn and Todd Pannell can take up a good spot from a perfect gate. NIGHT PASSAGE comes out of the same race and was beaten 9.4 lengths after being easy in betting. Her Sale win previously was very good. TIBETAN has found himself a long way back at two runs back from a spell but has found the line strongly in both, the latest behind Hobo Bob at Murray Bridge. He stays at 1800m and is right in this. MOUNT MADEIRA was an eye-catching effort from a long way back behind Hobo Bob last time. I’d like to see him out over a touch further but he’s going super, while MEADOWS YOUNG BUCK is a winner this track and trip but is drawn awkwardly and will work forward.

SELECTIONS: MEDIEVAL MISS, Tibetan, Night Passage

RACE 4 - 2:21PM Stable Stars Handicap (1050 METRES)

SOUL OBSESSION is a lightly-raced filly who was a good Moe winner last time out. She draws wide but the Freedman stable has an excellent record when it comes to Adelaide and she looks nicely graded here. ALL IN WAR was a slashing effort at his SA debut behind Fabulous Flipper at Murray Bridge. The form out of that race isn’t super strong but there was a lot to like about that effort. LOAD AND GO comes off a Penola maiden win, beating Fenceline, but draws the inside gate. LOHN RANGER maps to be on speed and stuck on well last time behind Lancaster Sound. MISS ARTIER has won two of her past three, both on her home track at Strathalbyn. PAL’S REWARD was well backed to win at Echuca two starts back before he led and was run down at Ararat last time. HEIMBERG is a former Sydney galloper now with Gordon Richards. He has trialled only fairly, but his only win did come at 1600m. LOPE DE WOLF has jumped out well for his return and could be the value.

SELECTIONS: SOUL OBSESSION, All In War, Lope De Wolf

RACE 5 - 3:01PM Racing Rewards SA Handicap (1530 METRES)

Victorian pair INSAAF and WILD SPREE both come here on the back of maiden victories. INSAAF was placed behind Cherry Tortoni at Flemington back in June last year, draws an ideal gate here and is very well weighted. BOLT BY is a nice type who has been looking for ground. He was strong coming from a long way back to beat Effortkat at Murray Bridge last time. He has plenty of weight but the upside to match and getting out in trip looks ideal. Local STRUCK BY was very good behind Outlaws Revenge last time out. He’s a 3YO with a future and will be right in this from an inside gate. WILD SPREE looks a horse who will appreciate stepping out to the 1530m after being too strong over 1200m at Pakenham last time.

SELECTIONS: INSAAF, Bolt By, Struck By

RACE 6 - 3:41PM Durbridge Stakes (1100 METRES)

BEHEMOTH is the class horse of the race, with the dual Group 1 winner boasting an imposing fresh record. He gets in here perfectly at the set weights and should be too good. He deserves to be a long odds-on favourite. KEMALPASA is another very good horse. His form before a short break was excellent, winning at Flemington over 1200m and Sandown over 1300m. He races well fresh but his best could be second-up. MYSTYKO has won 10 of 41 and was good beating Tequila Time at Murray Bridge. This is a very big step up in class but he could a cheeky race from the inside. SYMPHONETTE is a classy mare who has race fitness son her side. AMBERDI was very good here during the carnival running fourth in a Sangster. She can run a big race fresh, having won two (placed three) of five first-up runs.

SELECTIONS: BEHEMOTH, Amberdi, Kemalpasa

RACE 7 - 4:21PM Thorough Care SA Handicap (1200 METRES)

TAKEN OFF was scratched from Gawler last week for this and his form has been very good. He was a winner over 1000m here four runs back, beating Thompson’s Reward, and maps well from barrier three. Stablemate HEYINGTON STATION was well backed but found Calypso Reign too smart at Murray Bridge last time. He draws out but has claims in a race like this. EVENING GLORY was runner-up at Moonee Valley two starts back before beating Zoujea at Caulfield. He gets into this well via the claim and is sure to take some beating, even from a wide gate. CONCRETE is on debut for Daryl Stone and he brings some handy NSW form here. He was far from disgraced when running third in a Morphettville jump-out behind Kemalpasa and Morvada and looks well over the odds. PICARGO will get a nice run from an inside gate and must be respected, while GLASS CEILING can improve in a race like this.

SELECTIONS: TAKEN OFF, Evening Glory, Concrete

RACE 8 - 5:01PM Racing SA Handicap (1600 METRES)

Good race. BLACK SYRAH was a slashing run at Murray Bridge behind Hankstar when he gave the winner a massive start before charging late to be beaten just a length. He should get a nice run here and Sophie Logan is riding in great form. COSMIC AWARD deserves to win a race and should be right on the speed from barrier four. She was solid behind Don’tdreamit’sover last time out and should be suited here even though she’s only placed once in four starts. BLACK SAIL is a nice horse and his recent Victoria form is honest for a race like this. He’s drawn out but must be respected, even with the big weight. CHAROSSA is back in trip but can make his own luck from the barrier. GRINZINGER STAR is another who did his best work late first-up behind Mystyko at Murray Bridge and will enjoy getting out to the mile. HEIR OF TAVISTOCK has been racing well but draws wide.

SELECTIONS: BLACK SYRAH, Cosmic Award, Black Sail

RACE 9 - 5:40PM Racing Careers SA Handicap (1600 METRES)

ECHO BOOMER has only won the one race but has been placed in 11 of 16 starts and was backed into favourite when beaten less than a length at Kilmore last time out. He gets into this nicely with a claim and has solid each-way appeal in an open race. BILL THE BEE is aided by the claim and has won three (placed six) of 20. He was too good in 58 grade at Wangaratta last time out and has claims despite a sticky wide gate. DREAMED is fitter for two runs back and gets one more chance here. She’s drawn out but her best is good. She defeated Fulton Street over 1550m here back in May and is more than capable on her day. OH SO SKEPTICAL draws a nice gate and did race on speed to win three starts back at Bairnsdale. PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL has ability and contested some handy races last prep but was plain first-up from spell at Murray Bridge behind Pindaric. Her Oakbank trial was good and she could be a rapid improver in a race like this. THE SIDEKICK hasn’t done a lot in two runs for Will Clarken but should be an improver here. CHARLTON had some specking when he won down in class at Penola last time and Jason Holder sticks with him.

SELECTIONS: ECHO BOOMER, Puissance Dusoleil, Dreamed
