Lincoln Moore's Gawler Metro Preview

WIN: TAKEN OFF (Race 6)

EACH-WAY: FOUR OF A KIND (Race 7)

VALUE: RIALTOR (Race 2)

RACE 1 - 12:36PM Coopers Pacific Pale Ale Handicap (1200 METRES)

MISS JANE raced on speed and was overhauled late by Symphonette last week at Morphettville. She’s two wins and a placing from three starts here and gets her chance to atone. STREET LIFE is short in the market at $3.70 and was beaten 2.8 lengths behind Masterati last time. He is a dual winner here but is back in distance. OAMARU OWL goes well here and led them up when beaten into third behind an impressive Terbium last time out. He draws a gate to run another cheeky race. KENYAN WONDER got a long way back in the same race and was beaten 7.7 lengths. She defeated Debt Collector at Morphettville four starts back and her best would take beating here – but she can be hard to catch.

SELECTIONS: MISS JANE, Kenyan Wonder, Street Life

RACE 2 - 1:11PM TAB 3YO Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)

DAILY SPIRIT ran well behind Zoushine first-up from a break before closing late behind a promising one in Outlaws Revenge here last start. He draws the perfect gate and gets his chance. INDIAN GAZELLE caught the eye in the Outlaws Revenge race, making ground from a long way to run fourth. He looks a horse with a future and a big danger if he can utilise the inside gate. KUNGKA MARU looked good in a Morphettville jump-out on Monday and must be respected, while SPINOLA BAY ran well on debut at odds. RIALTOR showed speed and was keen looking pretty handy in a recent Strathalbyn jump-out. Appears over the odds at $14 in early markets. TANJA’S DREAM can make the speed from a good gate after leading them up at Oakbank last time.

SELECTIONS: DAILY SPIRIT, Rialtor, Indian Gazelle

RACE 3 - 1:46PM Thank You Phil Mueller Maiden Plate (1505 METRES)

FIGHTER has been runner-up at both runs, the latest as a $1.40 favourite at Morphettville by Thrill Kill. Getting out to 1500m looks ideal and he is sure to take beating. MONTEPULCIANO looks a big danger on the back of a solid Flemington effort last time out when beaten 2.3 lengths behind Beltoro. He is looking for a trip like this but the inside gate could prove slightly sticky. FREE OF SIN ran well behind Rocabella on the Parks two starts back before she was well beaten at Sandown. JUSTEDEE was beaten as a $1.40 fav at Balaklava two starts back and ran well behind Grey Vitality at Morphettville last time. AQAAREB ran well behind Recognise at Oakbank last time out and should appreciate the extra trip, the wide gate not so much. COMFORT GIRL draws a better gate and ran through the line well to run fourth behind Mrs Mourinho on debut and jumps from 1200m to 1500m. ARMAMENT has been placed at five of 11 starts and must be respected despite a wide gate.

SELECTIONS: FIGHTER, Montepulciano, Comfort Girl

RACE 4 - 2:21PM Coopers Handicap (1505 METRES)

DIPLOMATIC MEASURE has won four of nine starts and hasn’t raced since running 10th beaten 5.75 lengths behind Sikorsky at Flemington. He was a winner on the Parks track three starts back and has the benefit of two handy trials and a good barrier. PEARL BANDIT is having his 10th run since resuming in August and hasn’t finished further back than fourth. He has won two races and was placed in the Gawler Cup over this distance. EXALTED TRAVELLER raced on speed and dominated to win by three lengths at Strathalbyn last time. He defeated Noname Lane at his previous at Morphettville. This is harder but he’ll get a good run again from the gate and the stable is up and about. FULTON STREET draws a nice gate and stuck on well on speed behind Lake’s Folly at Morphettville last week. PRETTY GLASS is racing well down in the weights. FAROOQ is fresh for this and back in trip. He was good behind Black Syrah at Morphettville last time but the inside gate won’t help him.

SELECTIONS: DIPLOMATIC MEASURE, Pearl Bandit, Exalted Traveller

RACE 5 - 3:01PM G&J Civil Handicap (1200 METRES)

Open race and the market reflects that. EXALTED QUEEN led throughout to defeat Rose Tiara at Morphettville last time. She draws out and has plenty of weight but this isn’t any stronger. KHANI STAR was a good winner on her home deck at odds last time and draws to get a nice run. TURF TAPPER was solid at Oakbank when narrowly beaten by Smart Alick. FAY’S JOY has two wins from six starts here, has been around the mark recently and the stable is going well. GET IN THE BOWL is knocking on the door and was sent out favourite behind CALYPSO STORM, who led throughout to win at Strath last time.

SELECTIONS: EXALTED QUEEN, Turf Tapper, Khani Star

RACE 6 - 3:41PM Adelaide Plains Bloodstock Handicap (1200 METRES)

TAKEN OFF maps to get a nice run from barrier three. He was well in the market and got back when beaten a length behind Ice Ghost here last time out. He’s three wins from seven starts and gets his chance. MASTERATI will be riding the speed form barrier five and was a Strathalbyn winner four runs back. He’s helped by the 3kg claim. WESTPORT was only fair first-up from a spell but his best form would see him fighting out the finish here. She was running at G2 level five starts back and did win three on end after running in a Blue Diamond Preview on debut a tick under two years ago. She’s well over the odds at $13. MAY BE FATE is going super and has been brave at her past two behind Call Me Shamus and Lake’s Folly. She’s drawn a touch awkward but looks right in this. HANKSTAR draws a nice gate and his best is good enough for a race like this. He was only beaten 3.8 lengths behind Xilong in the G2 Euclase five starts back and scored on the Parks track two runs back. Likewise PICARGO is right up to this on his best. He was caught a touch flat-footed when an odds-on favourite at Balaklava three starts back and again was doing his best work when the race was over at Morphettville last time. He’ll get a nice run from an inside gate. TONY’S REWARD ran well first-up in SA but draws wide.

SELECTIONS: TAKEN OFF, Westport, May Be Fate

RACE 7 - 4:21PM Holdfast Insurance Handicap (1100 METRES)

Another really open race and not many without some winning chance. FOUR OF A KIND is bursting to win a race. She’s placed at her past three behind The Raven, BEEOKAY (who will run well from an inside gate with the claim) and Annika last time at Morphettville. She’s drawn wide but that might work into her favour in the big field and is an attractive price at $9 with tab.com.au. GLORY GAME has upside and was too good for Picargo two back before a solid effort behind Mayan at Morphettville last time. He has a nice gate and should settle handy to the speed. A bit to like about the way HONEY GO LIGHTLY won first-up in SA for Brett Campbell. It was a maiden but she did win convincingly and Todd Pannell stays with her. EXALTED ZOE put together back-to-back wins in Oct/Nov and has had a month between runs. OUR DEEP AGENDA has been excellent for the Jon O’Connor stable and led throughout late time. He draws out and is back in trip, but more than capable. GOUGERS is handy but poorly drawn.

SELECTIONS: FOUR OF A KIND, Honey Go Lightly, Glory Game

RACE 8 - 5:01PM Kingsford Hotel Handicap (2105 METRES)

MONTEFERRANTE was good winning here first-up from a break and then ran well behind Dazzling Damsel over the mile in town. The jump to 2105m looks ideal for her. She’s drawn out but has a handy record and get her chance to win again. BATTLE BLITZ was heavily back and scored easily over Smiling Assassin at Morphettville last time. He should thrive getting out further in trip and is a horse trending upwards. STAN THE CADDY was too strong over 1800m at Gawler and draws a nice barrier. THE RED SEA is thereabouts and must be respected. COMFORT MAN can improve out in trip and is big odds, while ACE ATTACK and ACT OF AGRESSION are both racing well.

SELECTIONS: MONTEFERANTE, Battle Blitz, Comfort Man

RACE 9 - 5:40PM Terrace Function Centre Handicap (1505 METRES)

FOX D’OR was easy on debut at Terang before coming to SA and winning her maiden here back in May, beating Allayez. She’s trialled OK for her return, draws a nice barrier and looks well placed in a race like this. LI’L HANK is racing well and comes out of the $100,000 race in town where he was only beaten 1.6 lengths behind Dazzling Damsel. His previous form was very good for this, as a Morphettville over a mile four runs back. MASARU WARRIOR bolted in at Murray Bridge back in class before only a fair effort behind Meadows Young Buck when easy in betting. He draws to get a good run. GREY VITALITY was well tried and led throughout to beat No Strings at Morphettville. He draws a touch wide but is another with upside. DISCREPANCY draws a good barrier and is racing well, while SHARPLY ATTIRED must be respected from the inside gate.

SELECTIONS: FOX D’OR, Li’l Hank, Masaru Warrior
