Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: ROCK STEADY (Race 4)

EACH-WAY: LA RICHESSE (Race 5)

VALUE: ACTION IN CAIRNS (Race 7)

RACE 1 - 12:01PM Happy 60th Birthday Ricky Clark Handicap (1200 METRES)

The market has the McEvoy pair of STAR OF UMA and JYOTI at the top and rightly so. STAR OF UMA was very impressive leading through here last time out while JYOTI hasn’t raced since August. She did beat Champagne Affair and Another Award here on debut and won the Listed Gold Sovereign at Launceston in February. They both draw a touch wide but the small field offsets that. Really liked the run first-up of KIRINIA who went back and charged late behind Mileva. She has a lot of upside and draws a good gate. TRADEWIND was impressive last week coming from well back to score late. WINNING WEATHER hasn’t done a lot wrong and must be kept safe first-up after a fair jump-out recently. Watch STAR OF UMA's last start win here.

SELECTIONS: STAR OF UMA, Kirinia, Jyoti

RACE 2 - 12:41PM Winning Edge Presentations Handicap (1200 METRES)

Some of the speed has come out of the race with the scratching of TRIP, but expect TEQUILA TIME to spear across and try and find the top. He was good beating Magna Bella first-up from a spell and has a very good overall record, especially this track and trip with two wins and three placings from seven starts. DEBT COLLECTOR is probably the most gifted horse in the race but he’s a frustrating one for punters due to his racing pattern of getting back. Gate three is a real bonus and he’s three wins (three placings) from seven starts which has him very well placed here. KEYSERI is going super and was too good for Alsvior last time out, he looks right in the mix from gate four. KENYAN WONDER’s best is very good and she made good ground first-up from a break. Watch DEBT COLLECTOR's latest win here.

SELECTIONS: DEBT COLLECTOR, Kenyan Wonder, Tequila Time

RACE 3 - 1:21PM Schweppes Handicap (1800 METRES)

Interesting race but happy to be with ROCK STEADY who is third up from a spell on the back of Derby campaign and clearly looking for the extra trip. He draws a good gate and Todd Pannell takes the ride. BIARCHI is a progressive filly who was scratched from midweek to run here and is among Oaks nominations. She’s improved getting out in distance this campaign and should get a nice run behind the speed. GRACIEBIRD was good winning back in class and gives the impression the 1800m will suit. CANFORD made good ground two back behind Somerset Maugham.

SELECTIONS: ROCK STEADY, Biarchi, Graciebird

RACE 4 - 2:01PM TAB Create your Spring Calendar of Play Handicap (1600 METRES)

PEARL BANDIT is on the quick back-up after making good late ground behind Tubby Two Tracks in last week’s Gawler Cup. He maps to get a much better run here and his record here over the mile is very good. He can bounce back. HYPERCANE is a progressive type who ran very well first-up from a spell behind One More Jack over 1250m before jumping to the mile and getting back and making ground behind Winning Partner in the Murray Bridge Cup last time. This is a drop in grade and he looks the danger. DETENTORE caught the eye first-up in SA for David Tootell Snr closing late behind Cannot Be Serios, GOING GAGA doesn’t run too many bad races,  he’s just finding it hard to win. JACK’S A CRACKER is backing up after winning at Strathalbyn on Wednesday and draws to be handy. Watch PEARL BANDIT's latest win here.

SELECTIONS: PEARL BANDIT, Hypercane, Detentore

RACE 5 - 2:45PM TAB Live Sky Racing Vision Handicap (Heat 9 Happy Trails Series) (1500 METRES)

Interesting race. LA RICHESSE ticks a lot of boxes with wins over 1300m and 1400m and she made ground first-up behind Hearty Lass. She went to the trials at Morphettville on Monday and beat stablemate Call It A Day and One More Jack. She draws well and looks a clear top pick. KEYSOR had good specking and came from back in the field to win well at Gawler last week. His previous two behind Vancity Gem and Skilled Bunch are good form lines for this. Stablemate RISING THUNDER was an eye-catching run at Gawler last week and is worth following. MONRAAJ ran well behind You Hadme At Hello last week, MAGNETIC EDGE hasn’t been far away since winning at Naracoorte.

SELECTIONS: LA RICHESSE, Keysor, Rising Thunder

RACE 6 - 3:30PM Furphy Handicap (1200 METRES)

Wide open race with some good value. GOUGERS heads up the market and was good beating Dawn Salute first-up from a spell and just missed behind General Mint last time. He draws a good gate and this is another winnable race. WHYKAYOH has won the two races and is back in Adelaide after three good efforts in Victoria, the latest beaten under two lengths at Cranbourne. There is some each-way appeal in EXTRA MILE who was good winning consecutive races before getting well back and was only beaten 3.5 lengths behind Party Hack last time. The 1200m should suit. Likewise BAJAN looks well over the odds, he came into his own last campaign and was thriving over further but he’s run some very good races fresh over this trip. MADE IN MILAN scored at a price first-up before making some ground on a leader dominated track last time. She maps well. CUBAN TOONITE was easing in betting but made ground first-up for the Jaensch stable at Murray Bridge. BEEOKAY is always thereabouts and draws handy. Watch EXTRA MILE's lastest win here.

SELECTIONS: EXTRA MILE, Whykayoh, Bajan

RACE 7 - 4:15PM Pike & Joyce Riziz Sprint Series Final (Qualified Horses) (1100 METRES)

Another open race with a host of fancied runners drawing wide. DIMAGGIO is the favourite but has been easy at his past two starts and will need some luck. Likewise BRAY STREET BOSS was very good winning at Murray Bridge, he’ll appreciate drawing out wide and looks to have strong appeal. I think THOMPSON’S REWARD is going as well as ever and he could appreciate those drawing out wide. Could be the one finishing over the top. On the flipside AKKACAN draws the inside gate and is going really well, but has just one win from 25 starts here. ACTION IN CAIRNS is also worth some thought, lightly-raced but looks to have ability and drawn barrier two. EXALTED MAXINE looks the early speed in the race and she was good winning here last time. Watch THOMPSON'S REWARD's win last month here.

SELECTIONS: THOMPSON’S REWARD, Bray Street Boss, Action In Cairns

RACE 8 - 4:51PM John Letts Cup (Previously Tokyo City Cup) (1800 METRES)

The scratching of Aqueduct has really opened this race up. I’m keen on SENTIMENTALIST who won two on end for Mark Pegus last campaign, the Stawell Cup and a Caulfield feature, beating Mr Quickie, over 200m. He ran OK first-up over 1400m at Caulfield, the jump to 1800m looks ideal, he draws a good gate and has the Paul Preusker polish. DANON ROMAN draws a gate and won’t know himself with 56kg after lugging the top weight from a wide gate in the Murray Bridge Cup. REGALO DI GAETANO was good winning two starts back before making good ground in the Murray Bridge Cup last time. He’s never been beyond a mile but he has a good turn of foot late. ANDREA MANTAGNA is flying for the David Jolly stable and was game winning the Horsham Cup win last time. BLOW TORCH battled away OK in the Gawler Cup but draws out.

SELECTIONS: SENTIMENTALIST, Danon Roman, Regalo Di Gaetano

RACE 9 - 5:35PM AAMI Handicap (1100 METRES)

ALLEBOOM was very impressive two back when he showed very good to lead and won by 5.5 lengths. He got back behind Tequila Time last time but this looks a very winnable race from the inside gate. SITTING BULL looks to have some upside. He beat subsequent winner Dantree first-up from a break before a good effort behind Bray Street Boss at Murray Bridge. He draws a nice gate and looks the danger. KUMO SUN drifted in betting but was too good at Gawler last time and will be the one running on late from a sticky gate. HANEDA is racing well, ISSARA could be value down the bottom of the weights, EXALTED QUEEN draws a good gate.

SELECTIONS: ALLEBOOM, Sitting Bull, Kumo Sun
