30 things for the kids to do for $30 entry at Oakbank

There’s so much to love about Oakbank Easter Races already! But in case you need reminding about how family-friendly the races are - we’ve compiled 30 things for the kids to do for your adult $30 general admission entry on Easter weekend. Remember - kids under 13 are free.

Giddy up, hope to see you at the Oakbank track!

  1. BYO – everything!

Oakbank Racecourse is the only race track in South Australia where you can bring in food and drinks (including alcohol). To keep the costs down, why not pack a picnic basket for the kids, a bottle of wine and some beer for the parents.

  1. Visit the stables and see the horses
  2. Face painting

  1. Watch the horses race past

We all know kids love horses – but imagine the excitement as they sit along the track and see how close the horses race past. The best thing about Oakbank is the ability to sit inside and around the track.

We’ll be bringing our Stable Stars Kids Club Zone to the Oakbank Easter Races. In this area you will be able to access the following FREE activities, simply by joining our Kids Club. You can join up on the day to receive your welcome kit, or you can sign up online and ‘check in’ on the day and have your welcome kit posted to you before Oakbank.

  1. Colouring in
  2. Pony rides
  3. Giant games including jenga, connect 4 and noughts & crosses
  4. Totem tennis
  5. Dress up in jockey silks
  6. Race your mates with our hobby horses
  7. Receive your FREE Stable Stars hat if you complete the passport activity book

  1. Bungy trampoline
  2. Rock climbing wall
  3. Hand ball games

Specky events will be joining us again this year with their inflatable and static equipment range centered around the famous and insanely popular SPECKY man.

  1. Take a specky with the inflatable footy setup
  2. Practice kicking the footy and handballing

  2. Bocce
  3. Ten pin bowling
  4. Foam hockey
  5. Horse hurdle relays

All thanks to Melba’s – the kids will get into the Easter spirit with Easter egg hunts. Times will be confirmed on the day so be sure to check in to see what time they’ll be.

The only racecourse in South Australia where you can access and walk around the track. Take advantage of this, grab the kids, and enjoy these activities around the racecourse.
