Gawler Cup Partner Announced

In an exciting announcement for the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club, we are delighted to welcome Holdfast Insurance Brokers as new naming rights partner of the Gawler Cup for the next three years.

“Holdfast Insurance Brokers are a highly respected, South Australian business and we are delighted and very honoured to have them join us here at Gawler.” said Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club CEO Shane Collins.

Part of the largest insurance broker network in Australia, Holdfast is a family-owned insurance brokerage with business in South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory. They have been around for more than 30 years protecting the businesses and lifestyles of everyday Australians and the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club are very proud to be associated with them.

"Horse racing is as much a part of Holdfast as insurance. Our family have had a long association with the sport and the passionate community it supports. We can't wait for the Gawler Cup and look forward to being a part of the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club for many years to come", said Holdfast's General Manager, Kelly Keast.

Collins added, “The Gawler Cup is our biggest event on the calendar and we are very passionate about seeing this grow. Now that we have this partnership with Holdfast Insurance Brokers who know the thoroughbred racing industry so well, we will be able to work together and take it to even greater success. Already, in our initial business dealings with Holdfast Insurance Brokers, I can see that we share key core values and I’m certain this means the partnership will be positive for both parties.”

Sunday October 29th 2017 will be the first of many Holdfast Insurance Brokers Gawler Cups, and promises to be a highlight of the racing season. With other exciting announcements and information surrounding Cup events to be released shortly, there is a great month of activity and racing ahead this spring in Gawler.
