Jamie Brings Up Another Hundred

When Lethal Bond crossed the line first in Race 2 at Morphettville, it was more than just another win for Jamie Kah, it was a significant milestone in her short, yet fantastic career.

Lethal Bond was Kah's 100th South Australian winner for the 2016/17 season and puts her 35 wins above her closest rival, Matthew Poon who has returned home to Hong Kong. Apprentice Emily Finnegan sits in third place, 42 behind Kah, highlighting her dominance across the state this season.

Kah has amassed 41 Metropolitan winners this season and 59 across the provincial and country tracks.

Port Lincoln was a happy hunting ground for Kah where she notched up 20 wins from 55 runners at a 36.4% win rate. The highlight of her Port Lincoln season being a bag of five winners on Port Lincoln Cup Day including four for local trainer Darryl Carrison.

Galaxy Falls was her fifth winner on Port Lincoln Cup Day and she is undefeated aboard the gelding this season, riding him four times for four wins. The David Jolly trained Tsaritsyn is the other horse she has guided to four victories this season.

Among her 100 victories this year she has recorded two Listed wins. One aboard Rocket Commander in the Penny Edition Stakes and the other on the Will Clarken trained Cavaloce in the Durbridge Stakes. Kah also claimed victory in the 2016 Mindarie Halidon Cup aboard the John Macmillan trained Creance.

Kah will be a huge chance to smash her record of 107 South Australian wins which she achieved last season, which was an improvement on the 102 wins she recorded in her breakout season in 2012/2013.
